Giving Tuesday
An international day of giving back.
Each Tuesday following Thanksgiving marks Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back to those in need. Established in 2012, #GivingTuesday counters consumption during the holiday season and encourages people all over the world to donate their time, money, or voice to charities and organizations working towards a good cause.
Particularly this year, the pandemic has exacerbated the struggles of many across the globe. It’s imperative we take time today and throughout this holiday season to support causes that are impactful and positive.
We’re sharing three simple ways to give back on this Giving Tuesday and beyond.
Volunteer: Due to the pandemic, there are a number of virtual volunteer opportunities like becoming a multilingual translator or offering career counseling to students or veterans.
Donate: Narrow down initiatives to support. A few include animal rights, senior support, healthcare accessibility, education and literacy, international aid, veteran support, frontline workers, and many more.
Advocate: Use your voice and/or social platform to advocate for causes that are meaningful and important.
